Austin Analytics works chiefly in the six areas shown on the left, which are key areas of Transport Planningplus Travel Information Strategy and Marketing Strategy, although these often overlap. Click on the links to see more about these areas.

John Austin is particularly experienced in advising on ways in which accessibility might be provided commercially, and how a non-car-dependent lifestyle can be made to become both viable and attractive.

Although Austin Analytics concentrates mainly on Public Transport projects in other transport fields are also carried out: these include complementary modes such as Car-sharing and Car Clubs. We also have a focus on areas where transport, technological impacts and land-use policy issues come into play.

Although much of Austin Analytics' work is in the UK, we have been a partner in several European projects in the recent past, including, most recently, PROCEED. John Austin has made many contributions to European industry forums and guidelines, as well as in Australia and the Asia-Pacific region.
